In 2003 I used my GI bill money (college money from the army) to choose a profession.
Most people choose something that will benefit themselves later in life.
Instead, I chose to go to a guitar building school.
Ever since then, i’ve been either working as an apprentice to other luthiers
and/or running my own guitar repair shop and building guitars on the side, while
working at least one other full time job.
I’ve recently built a shop to build guitars at my leisure,
where I can focus my attention on them during my “non-treasure hunting days”.
